Welcome to Retropeepers Edit

Hello Peeps!

Retropeepers was started in 2005 and I was myself a devoted and long-term customer of the fabulous retro frames and vintage-style readers which the company produced and sold online. In 2016, Annie, who started the company, decided to move back to Australia, so that same year, with my brilliant, long-time friend and colleague, Caroline and my husband Martin, we took over this small, but perfectly-formed, business.

Since then we have had a really great time, creating new frame designs, developing our eyewear services and accessory products, as well as making many new friends who all love to celebrate the glitz and glamour of the vintage years of the twentieth century.

Anyway, we decided that the time has come to share with all our thousands of supporters, the inside scoop on Retropeepers and introduce you to our suppliers, our business partners, our many colleagues and friends across the wide world of Retro eyewear.

We are delighted to introduce you to Haili Hughes, journalist, author, teacher, PhD student and Vintage Queen!

Haili Hughes Retropeepers Edit

You may well already know her, if you have been following vintage style for some time, as she was Deputy Editor of Vintage Life magazine and before that she was a favourite model of many leading retro fashion design companies. Haili has a huge passion for vintage fashion and is going to share with us her extensive knowledge of the retro scene, fashion tips, olde-world style, make-up looks and special know-how all dedicated to followers of vintage living. We are too excited for words and just cannot wait to share her insights and ideas and inform you on what is hot and what is not in the nostalgia market.

Subjects we plan to cover include:

Eyewear Styles, frames that will suit you, shapes, colours, general eyewear fashion advice. Focus on what’s new in frames and styles from the Retropeepers Collection.

Get the look: complementary hair and make-up styles: movie star glamour, wartime looks, decade by decade style.
