Frida Kahlo's glasses in the Frida Kahlo Museum, Mexico
The launch of these new frames is timed to coincide with London’s Victoria and Albert Museum’s much anticipated exhibition: 'Frida Kahlo - Making Her Self Up' in June this year. The exhibition unveils her wardrobe and accessories and includes the original pair of Frida’s stunning, matt gold sunglasses.
These large, classic, mid-20th Century, cat-eye frames, make an uncompromising, bold and stylish statement. Hand made from high quality acetate and officially licensed from the Frida Kahlo Corporation, they are being produced as a limited edition of 500 pieces. Not just a pair of very wearable sunnies, but also a collectible piece of contemporary art.
