50s Style Glasses
Welcome to the golden age of Hollywood, where Marilyn Monroe made the cat eye shape the frame to die for. With the popularity of rock n roll and young people becoming interested in fashion, there was a huge boost in the variety of frames available. For men, thick framed square shaped glasses made famous by James Dean became increasingly popular. To get the rockin’ 50s look, cut in a short rockabilly fringe if you dare, or style a side roll and slick on some red lipstick. Team it with a fabulous dress with a nipped in waist and fluffed out skirt. Or go for more of a bad-gal Rizzo style with a pencil skirt, shirt and neck scarf.
